From the editors: Introducing the digital edition of The PCR-EAPCI Percutaneous Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine Textbook

Here it is, THE Textbook – a true reference in interventional cardiovascular medicine. Four volumes covering everything in our field from A to Z and back again: 93 chapters, 266 authors and each a world recognised expert in his or her field. We are sure you will find this textbook extremely valuable, to be used for years to come as a ready reference in your daily practice, in your studies and in your discussions. And we are sure you will agree that these volumes will look impressive on your bookshelf.

But this work is not destined to remain on a bookshelf. In these times of digital communication, it would be a shame if the Textbook would simply be a printed book. The online edition goes beyond the print version giving the reader access to the archives of EAPCI and PCR with links to recorded cases, slides, and manuscripts related to the topics within the print edition. Thus, this online edition opens our collective memory, using previous experiences and thoughts, linking theory to practice, and converting general recommendations for treatment into specific experiences for the treatment of the particular, individual patient.
