Objective
to report the 3-year clinical outcomes of the Amplatzer Amulet left atrial appendage occluder vs. Watchman occluder in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF)
Study
multicentre randomised trial
Population
paroxysmal, persistent, or permanent NVAF with high risk of stroke or systemic embolism (CHADS2 score â¥2 or CHA2DS2-VASc score â¥3)
Endpoints
composite ischemic stroke or systemic embolism at 3 years
Conclusion
left atrial appendage occlusion with Amulet or Watchman resulted in comparable clinical outcomes through 3 years
