Objective
to compare the clinical outcomes of native vessel PCI and saphenous vein graft (SVG) PCI in post-CABG patients presenting with SVG failure
Study
multicentre, randomised, active-control trial
Population
patients with prior CABG (mean age ~73 years, 84% male, 38% diabetic) presenting with stable angina or NSTE-ACS and a significant SVG stenosis, who were deemed suitable for either native vessel or SVG PCI
Endpoints
1year MACE (composite of allcause mortality, nonfatal target coronary territory MI, and clinically driven target coronary territory revascularisation)
Conclusion
SVG PCI was associated with better clinical outcomes at one year than native vessel PCI, mainly due to markedly lower rates of PCI-related MI and clinically driven target coronary territory revascularisation.
