to assess the effect of PCI versus Placebo procedure on exercise time in patients with stable angina

double-blind, multicentre, randomised trial (placebo controlled)

patients with stable angina and at least one angiographically significant lesion (â¥70%)

difference in exercise time increment between the two groups


Conclusion
in patients with guide-line directed optimum medical therapy PCI did not increase exercise time compared to patients with optimal medical therapy undergoing a placebo procedure
