6. Myocardial revascularisation strategy

PCI or CABG in unprotected left main stenosis

NOBLE 10 years
Objective
to provide long-term outcome data comparing PCI with newer generation drug-eluting stents versus CABG
Study
prospective, randomised, open-label, non-inferiority trial
Population
patients with significant unprotected left main coronary artery disease and no additional complex lesions
Endpoints
difference in all-cause mortality in the intention-to-treat (ITT) population at 10 years
NOBLE 10 years
NOBLE 10 years
Conclusion
At 10 years, no significant difference in all-cause mortality was found between PCI and CABG for patients with unprotected left main coronary artery disease, suggesting that PCI is as safe as CABG for patients suitable to receive both treatments.
