Objective
to compare the 3-year adverse clinical outcomes of PCI plus optimal medical treatment (OMT) compared to OMT alone for treatment of chronic total occlusion
Study
multicentre, randomised (2:1) controlled trial
Population
at least 1 CTO; if MVD-non-CTO lesions were first treated before randomisation
Endpoints
cardiovascular death or non-fatal MI at 3 years

Conclusion
among patients with chronic total occlusion there was no difference in the 3-year incidence of cardiovascular death or myocardial infarction between PCI plus OMT and OMT alone
