TAVI and FFR-PCI vs SAVR plus CABG for aortic stenosis and MV-Disease

TCW
Objective
to assess the clinical outcomes of TAVI and FFR-guided PCI compared to SAVR plus CABG for the treatment of patients with aortic stenosis and multi-vessel coronary disease
Study
international, prospective, open-label noninferiority randomized trial (margin 15%)
Population
patients with severe aortic stenosis and multivessel disease
Endpoints
composite of all-cause death, MI, disabling stroke, target-vessel revascularisation, valve reintervention and severe bleeding at 1 year post treatment
Conclusion
percutaneous treatment plus TAVI in patients with severe aortic stenosis  and multivessel disease was associated with more favourable 1 year clinical outcomes compared to surgical treatment (SAVR plus CABG)
