Objective
to compare the efficacy of the Perclose Proglide VCD versus the collagen-based Manta-VCD (vascular closing device) after TAVR
Study
investigator initiated, open-label, multicentre randomised trial
Population
patients undergoing transfemoral TAVR
Endpoints
access-site or access-related major or minor vascular complications during index hospitalisation (VARC-2 criteria)

Conclusion
a pure plug-based vascular closing device (MANTA CVD) is associated with a higher access-site-related vascular complications than a primary suture-based technique (ProGlide)
